to the Used Book Sale

By following these guidelines, you will be helping the Friends and your Library by keeping our costs down, and our profits (all of which benefit Library programs) up.

Used Book Sale Donation Policy
The Friends of the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library gratefully accept your donation of books, CDs, DVDs, and Audiobooks on CD in excellent to good condition all year except for two weeks before and two weeks following three-day sales (to allow for sale preparation and cleanup). Keep in mind that if you would not want to buy a book, CD, or DVD because of its condition, neither will anyone else.
We CANNOT accept materials in poor condition and materials we have found we cannot sell.

When materials included in the list below are left for donation, FOL must PAY to recycle or discard them, which means that much less income to support our Library. PLEASE do not bring the following items to donate:
If you have damaged, dirty, or moldy books, or magazines, and wish to discard them, they can be taken to the Clifton Park Transfer Station, 217 Vischer Ferry Road, Rexford.
If you remove the hardback and spine of hardback books, the pages can be recycled and the hardback and spine can be discarded in your trash.
The Recycling Center at the Transfer Station is free and open to anyone. Please call 371-6669 for more information in the Transfer Station’s Single Stream Recycling bins.
