Obelisk Among the Pavers

Contemplating our daughter, Tara’s, question one Christmas season about what we wanted, my husband, John, and I went into our usual seasonal muddle about what she could give us that was meaningful. After mulling over the usual gift certificates, we finally considered how we could use our gift to give back and quickly decided that a paver at the Library would make a wonderful gift. One that would help the Friends fund their wonderful activities and events and, at the same time, be an enduring remembrance. Because we decided to include our grand-daughter, Tia, on the paver, it was as if we were giving her a gift, as well. Two for the price of one!
Recently, when chatting with Tia about what her paver means to her, she shared her enthusiasm. Of course, the picture and her gorgeous smile speak a thousand words. Tia’s thoughts went from how she feels now and how she will remember it in the years to come. |
