GREAT NEWS: The Friends will award 1 More Scholarship Thanks to Enrichment Dollars.
There are Now 3 for 2018.
Karen and Lester Gerhardt, long-time members of the community, and patrons and lovers of our Library, sponsored their first $1,000 Scholarship for 2017 for a deserving local high school student who will be attending college (see awards and photos below).

Sponsor a Scholarship, Too!
A one-time award or ongoing. You decide.

Send a Strong Message that We are Stakeholders in the Future of our Young People.

The Friends seek enrichment dollars to add to the number of scholarships awarded each year, since many more deserving students apply than can be recognized.

Our initial effort to explore an infusion of funds to support more scholarships met with great success when the Gerhardts offered to kick off our campaign.

We invite additional donations by families, individuals or groups of individuals, and by companies and organizations to support even more scholarships. Each $1,000 scholarship may be named in honor or memory of a friend or loved one, or simply be made anonymously.  We will also maintain a Scholarship Fund to which any amount of money may be earmarked; once donations in that fund reach $1,000, another scholarship will be offered, honoring all those who contributed.

Sponsor a Scholarship in Your name, a Family name or Remember a loved one, Honor a friend.
