FOL travel coordinator Rhona Koretzky lead a bus trip to New York City on Sunday November 13, 2011 for a day on your own. Rhona assisted with museum or theater plans. Other suggestions for the day were: walk the HighLine with great views of Manhattan and the Hudson River (free!), visit the 9/11 Memorial in lower Manhattan (free!), see a matinee of Stephen Sondheim's Follies, starring the great Bernadette Peters, see the Radio City Holiday Spectacular, view the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Times Square Discovery Center, or anything else the happy travelers chose. |

The next day trip sponsored by the Friends Of the Library will be a trip to Brooklyn, New York on Sunday, May 2. The highlight will be a visit to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to view the cherry trees in full bloom. A visit to the Brooklyn Museum can also be arranged for a small additional cost.

Homespun Harmony, a barbershop quartet from Schenectady and members of the Electric City Chorus, entertained with delightful harmonies. This award-winning quartet has been singing together for many years. Played during Annual Springtime Celebration meeting on May 9, 2009.
