Plant Swap and Sale |
Each year on the first Saturday in June, we host a swapping opportunity for gardeners to exchange some of the gardening books and magazines, extra perennials that come up each year, or annual seedlings that were just too numerous. Many gardeners just bring plants for the Friends to sell, adding to the funds we use for activities and services for the Library community. We always need people to plan the event as well as set up and clean up folks, sales people, and cashiers.
Publicity |
Help us increase public awareness of the Friends and its contributions to the Library and community through newspaper ads, articles, and pictures; newsletter updates; flyers; posters; bookmarks; postings for the Clifton Park and Halfmoon websites - we especially need help in updating electronic calendars on the many social media sites that list community activities.
Two Towns-One Book |
Become part of the Two Towns-One Book Committee to screen nominated books, plan events and publicity, and/or put on the many activities associated with this community-wide read.
Used Book Sales |
The Friends conduct three used book sales each year each fall, winter, and spring, as well as occasional themed mini-sales. All money raised supports Friends programs for the Library. Volunteers sort books, set up and take down sale areas, and sell books during sales.
